Fragmentary Blue (More Frost)

Why make so much of fragmentary blue
In here and there a bird, or butterfly,
Or flower, or wearing-stone, or open eye,
When heaven presents in sheets the solid hue?

Since earth is earth, perhaps, not heaven (as yet)--
Though some savants make earth include the sky;
And blue so far above us comes so high,
It only gives our wish for blue a whet.

The Times Table (R. Frost)

More than halfway up the pass
Was a spring with a broken drinking glass,
And whether the farmer drank or not
His mare was sure to observe the spot
By cramping the wheel on a water-bar,
turning her forehead with a star,
And straining her ribs for a monster sigh;
To which the farmer would make reply,
'A sigh for every so many breath,
And for every so many sigh a death.
That's what I always tell my wife
Is the multiplication table of life.'
The saying may be ever so true;
But it's just the kind of a thing that you
Nor I, nor nobody else may say,
Unless our purpose is doing harm,
And then I know of no better way
To close a road, abandon a farm,
Reduce the births of the human race,
And bring back nature in people's place.

Devotion (Robert Frost)

The hear can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to the ocean--
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetition.

É cebola?

O monstro continua cuspindo gente:
as mesmas minas nos bares, os mesmos sapatos sem ginga,
os mesmos caras sem ginga, os mesmos boatos nos bares.
A repetição, industrial, me enerva.
Tudo de novo, o plano, a incerteza, o perigo, a conformidade.
Tenho vontade de descascar o mundo.
Mas tenho medo de chorar.

Por que há tanto trabalho?

no dia do trabalhador
saí a pedalar rápido, querendo ofegar
cruzei com a dona do puteiro da 11
travessa com uma filha e uma boneca
nenhum homem
olhei precário e saí a pedalar rápido, querendo ofegar
na escada da esquina um cheiro
dentro do cheiro roups roxas, brancas, pretas
e um corpo embalado com colares
dois corpos embalados com colares
três corpos embalados com colares
nenhum homem
mostrei a pele dos meus dentes ao vento
e saí a pedalar rápido, querendo ofegar

Um poema do livro do João

50
A Bertold Brecht

Há poetas que
escrevem um poema
e são bons.
Há outros que
escrevem um livro
e são melhores.
Há aqueles que
escrevem vários poemas
e são muito bons.
Porém há aqueles que
escrevem três poemas
por dia.
Esses são
imprescindíveis.

(João dedicou um poema, Minha Poesia, a mim. Achei da hora. Obrigaducho.)
